The Game

How Sprolf works

It's golf — turned into a team race against the clock. Five things to know before you tee off.

  1. 01

    Build your squad

Each team is 3 Sprolfers plus an assigned caddy — who runs the clock, counts strokes, and calls penalties in the app. Things move fast.

  2. 02

    Tee off, clock starts

Everyone starts at the tee box. The caddy starts the clock on contact of the first shot. From here on, the clock is part of your score.

  3. 03

    Rotate every shot

Players alternate — 1, then 2, then 3, and back around, same order every time. No back-to-back shots by the same player, or it's a one-stroke penalty.

  4. 04

    Swing the Sprolf Club

At least one shot per hole must use the official Sprolf Club. Any player, any shot, your call — skip it and that's a one-stroke penalty. The caddy tracks it.

  5. 05

Race the clock to the hole

Sprint between shots — hit it up toward the hole, then sprint past your teammates to be ready for your turn. The clock stops when the ball is in the hole. Then you get 2:30 to the next tee.

  6. 06

    Add it all up

    Score = strokes + time + penalties.

    • · Every hole has an exact par time set by your bracket (Amateur: 1:15).
    • · Finish under it and your score drops. Over it and it climbs.
    • · Lowest combined score takes the hole.

The Equipment

The Sprolf Club

Sprolf is played with a purpose-built club, engineered for the one thing ordinary clubs can't handle — taking a real shot while you're moving.

The prototype is developed and patent-protected. A companion timing app to track your sprint splits during play is on the way.

This is Sprolf

Watching beats reading. The hype reel shows the sport for real — swings, sprints, and a race to the flag.

The Origin

Born on a ranch in Idaho

The first-ever Sprint Golf tournament went down in July 2022 on a 51-acre ranch in Rupert, Idaho — a backyard experiment that turned a quiet round of golf into a full-contact, clock-racing team sport.

It sounded nuts. It was a blast. And it kept going — into a patented club, a real rulebook, and a sport with a name: Sprolf.
